Save Our Boozer!

No.. it's not about to shut, but what effect would this have on a village, if it did?

I am writing this following a conversation in our Local pub on Saturday about the amount of people who live in Widmer End (in excess of 200 houses on the Georges Hill estate alone), compared with the number of people who use our local?

We were also talking about a new campaign moving across our country, called "Save Our Boozer" and how local communities are pulling together to save their local from closure.

That made us all think - how many people would help out if this did happen to our local pub?

I am not sure what the answer is, but lets not risk it, you can use our local now, for any of these following reasons:

- Good beer
- A variety of Lagers and Ciders
- Wines
- Soft Drinks
- Pool
- Darts
- Bar Billiards
- Quiz Night
- Karaoke Parties
- A meeting place (small function room available)
- Dog friendly (free dog biscuits)
- Kid Friendly (complementary sweets available)

Let's not wait to see what happens...
