 Planning permission has today (1st April 2006) been accepted for the building of 350 flats on the area currently taken up buy our village hall, green and nearby fields (see diagram below).

Permission has apparently, also been passed to bulldoze the Royal Standard Pub, along with the house to the right of it to make way for a new Tesco Express Petrol Station and 24 hour store.

 Sorry to write but I am having real trouble trying to find out more information about the takeover of the village green and hall and the erection of new flats you mention on the website.

I was wondering if you would be able to tell me where I can look to find out at all?

We're thinking of moving into a house on North road which adjoins the playing fields and would like to know more before making a decision.

 Please do no worry about this at all... you will note that this was posted on April the 1st / It was my April Fools joke and it did make a lot of residents laugh..

 Yes, I was just logging on to write back and say to ignore my mail as I realised I'd been caught out after I wrote it - very embarrassing!

You'll probably think I'm the village idiot (to be) now!
